I can’t claim to be a professional gambler as I don’t do sports betting full-time and what I do do is not particularly professional. I do however feel my betting performances have improved gradually over the years and hopefully, through the course of this blog, I can perhaps provide some betting guidance or additional snippets of info to those new to the game or those just looking to gain a betting edge. I will keep clear details of my bets and stakes which is something certain bloggers aren’t keen to display – that’s fair enough as it is quite personal information afterall.

My most profitable sport of the year has been footie, so as you can imagine it’s been quiet times recently, certainly in terms of any decent profit coming my way. I’ve dabbled in Cricket, Tennis and F1 with mixed results but i’m just counting down the days now until the winter season returns and better rewards.

However, Golf has kept me occupied and is the main reason i’m starting this blog now. I’ve got a number of selections running in the Scottish Open and the John Deere Classic, with hopefully one or two still in contention come the showdown on Sunday. My selections for the tournaments are:

Scottish Open:
Colin Montgomerie £20 @ 25.0 (betfair) potential return £480
Luke Donald £20@ 16.5 potential return £310
Thomas Levet £10 @ 80.0 potential return £790
Anthony Wall £10 @ 110.0 potential return £1,190

John Deere Classic
Zach Johnson £20 @ 21.0 potential return £600
Anthony Kim £20 @ 28.0 potential return £540
Bernard Langer £15 @ 46.0 potential return £665

As I get into this blog writing i’ll provide reasons behind why i’ve backed who but this is my first blog so give me a break this once. Anyway good luck if you have a bet, let’s hope we’re all celebrating come Sunday…I mean, everyone wins at betting don’t they?
